摘要：晋西南豫西西部指霍山以南、黄河以东、崤山以北、太岳山历山以西的地区，主要包括临汾盆地、运城一垣曲盆地及其以南的黄河两岸区域。该地区庙底沟二期一龙山时代的考古学文化面貌复杂、变化纷然，对其进行分期和谱系方面的深入研究，是进一步探讨中原地区早期文明的形成和发展等重要课题的基础性工作。
The southwestern Shanxi and western-most Henan region can be divided into the northern and southern two sub-regions. The former is the Linfen Basin, and the latter consists of the Yuncheng-Yuanqu Basin and the Yellow River valley in the vicinity. The Miaodigou Ⅱ to Longshan period cultural remains in this region may be divided into three stages with seven sub-stages. Stage Ⅰ （ca. 3000-2600 BC） belongs to the Yangshao culture while Stages Ⅱ （ca. 2600-2200 BC） and Ⅲ （ca. 2200-1800 BC） to the early and late Longshan period respectively. In Stage I , the cultural remains in both the northern and southern sub-regions are basically the same and belong to the Miaodigou Ⅱ type of Yangshao culture. They show traces of strong influence from the Dawenkou and Qujialing cultures. In Stage Ⅱ , the northern and southern sub-regions were greatly different from each other in cultural aspect. The southern sub-region remained in the Miaodigou Ⅱ type while the northern one changed into the Taosi type of Central Plains Longshan culture and was still influenced by the Dawenkou and Shijiahe cultures, though began to exert distinct influence outward. In Stage Ⅲ , the northern and southern sub-regions came close again in cultural aspect. The northern one changed into the late Taosi culture while the southern one into the Sanliqiao type. They were much influenced by the Laohushan, Wangwan Ⅲ, Hougang Ⅱ and Keshengzhuang Ⅱ cultures of the Central Plains Longshan cultural system and, to a certain extent, exerted influence on surrounding areas.
