摘要：北京位于南北走向的太行山与东西走向的军都山交汇处,其下与华北大平原结合,是重要的南北交通枢纽地区,自古以来都是兵家必争的战略要地。这一区域同时也是多民族交汇、互动、冲突、融合的地带。历史上,这里曾是山戎、匈奴、鲜卑、奚、靺鞨、室韦、高丽、契丹、女真、蒙古、满族等许多少数民族与汉族共同经营和活动的区域,使得形形色色的农耕文化、草原游牧文化和森林游猎文化融合成你中有我、我中有你的和谐统一的中华文化。民族互动促进并完成了以中原华夏文化为主体的多民族文化的融合。它不仅滋养了不同民族的共存、赢得了各民族的共同发展,还维系了民族团结、国家独立与统一,是推进民族进步、发展与繁荣的中华民族的精神力量和中国文化的结晶。
Beijing is located in the junction of the Taihang Mountain running from the north to the south and the Jundu Mountain running from the east to, the west. The lower part is in conjunction with the North China Plain. Beijing was an important north-south transportation hub and the strategic battleground for army force. It was also the place of multi-ethnic interaction where different ethnic groups met, conflicted and then merged. Such nationalities as Shangrong ,the Hurts, Xianbei, Xi,Mohe, Shiwei, Korea, Khitan, Jurchen, Monglian, Manchu, etc. and Han Chinese lived and worked together in the area, making farming culture, nomadic culture and forest culture integrate to form the harmonious and united Chinese culture. It not only nourishes co-existence of different ethnic groups and makes it possible for them to develop together, but maintains their solidarity and guarantees the state unity. It has become the spiritual strength for the Chinese nationalities to promote progress, development and prosperity.
