摘要：Communities of Practice (COP) is an informal professional cooperation and communication network, which is an efficient and low cost route to promote innovation, but few studies have been done in this area. Based on social capital theory, this paper explores the role of COP on innovation performance and its mechanism. Based on 325 samples from China's creative industry, our analysis finds: social capital of COP has positively significant impact on innovation performance through the intermediary variables intellectual capital and psychological safety. Therefore, to enhance innovation capability, enterprises should pay attention to a delicate balance between the formal and informal knowledge system; cultivate psychological safety environment; further develop intellectual capital and encourage their employee to participate more professional activities of COP.
