摘要：北顶娘娘庙始建于明代,曾在清乾隆年间重修,1976年后殿因地震坍塌,后被翻盖为北顶小学,翻盖后仅山门、前殿保持原貌。由于北顶娘娘庙正好在规划中的奥林匹克公园内,为了保留中国传统文化以及体现古今文化的和谐交融,2003年北顶娘娘庙被列入北京市第七批文物保护单位,并重新修缮,准备开辟为北京民俗博物馆分馆,在奥运会期间正式向公众开放。本文主要从北顶由来、北京"五顶"、北京娘娘庙今昔等三个方面讨论其历史沿革及现状。
Beiding Taishan empress temple, built in Ming dynasty, was reconstructed in Qing dynasty, collapsed because of earthquake in 1976, then, was rebuilt as Beiding Elementary School. After the rebuilding, only the original forms was kept as Temple gate and Front Plalace. Beiding Taishan empress temple has been enrolled in the seventh Cultural relics, and will be rebuilt as its original form. After the rebuilding, it will reopen as a branch of Beijing Museum of Folk custom to public in the Summer of 2008. This essay illustrates Beiding Taishan empress temple in three aspects： history of Beiding, five ＂ding＂ symbol in Beijing, Beiding Taishan empress temple in traditional customs and new definition.
