摘要:H.264 adopt intra-prediction algorithm which increase computation complexity of encoder drastically. Thus, a fast mode selection algorithm for H.264 intra-prediction based on the features of DCT coefficients in frequency domain and the correlation of the predictive mode in spatial domain is proposed. This paper estimates the complexity of the block coding, texture of the direction and possible coding mode, and then selects the code block size, narrow mode selection range. Experimental results show, that compared with the other existing fast mode decision algorithm, the proposed algorithm significantly decreases the time consumed by I-frame coding about 64.1 % while the loss of PSNR ratio is negligible. ? 2013 Springer-Verlag.
