摘要：基督教青年会兴起于 1 9世纪中叶的英国 ,成立后不久即传入中国。中国基督教青年会本着基督精神 ,提倡德、智、体、群四育 ,培养了一大批有益于国家和社会的男女青年。中国基督教青年会致力于宣传宗教文化 ,将西方科学文化知识引入中国 ,为社会做了一些有益的工作 ,应予以客观的评价。北京基督教青年会和女青年会非常重视社会教育 ,取得了一定的成效 ,特别是在改革开放以后 ,面对社会发展的需要 ,积极开展对外文化交流 ,关心社会文化生活 ,热心于公益事业 ,得到了社会各界的广泛赞誉。宗教作为一种文化现象在社会和人们的现实生活中仍然起着一定的作用 ,应引起足够的重视。
Young Men's Christian Association rose in middle period of nineteen century of England, before long it was intruduced to China. Young Men's Christian Association of China advocate the spirit of Christian, those are virtue,wisdom,physical culture and multitude living,and cultivate many young men and women that are beneficial to country and social system. Young Men's Christian Association of China propagandize religion culture, introduce western science and culture knowledge to China, unfold profitable work for social system, all these should get impersonal appraisement.Beijing Young Men's Christian Association and Young Women's Christian Association attach importance to social education and obtain distinct effect.Espicially since opening and reform, as their expanding foreign culture intercourse,regarding social culture living and enthusiasm for commonweal they receive broadly recongnition around all circles of the community. Religion as a kind of culture phenomena play an active action in social modern living, all these should arouse adquately attention.
