摘要：张学良等人认为:如若支持蒋介石在中原大战中获胜,东北军必须接受财政统一和军队编遣,从而丧失独立性。有鉴于此,他一反常态在战前选择"中立",与蒋保持距离。大战伊始,他向蒋示意出兵,在对方允诺华北地盘和陆海空军副总司令后,迟迟不付诸行动;临近战争结束,面对败局已定的反蒋派,既未在政治上指责,也未在军事上落井下石,而是有意无意地彰显逆转战争结局的可能性。尽管蒋介石恼怒他"不知党与革命为何事",却不得不承诺:战后东北军继续维持财政与军事独立。
Zhang Xue - liang judged that if he supported Chiang Kai - Shek in the Central Plains war,the Northeast Army must accept the unified financial and military reorganization after the war,and lost of independence.Zhang Xue-liang lost his usual equilibrium and chose the neutral position. At the beginning of war,he promised to send troops,but do not put into action after Chiang Kai - Shek promised the North China and the deputy commander of the armed forces. Near the end of the war, fa-cing the people who against Chiang Kai - Shek, he neither blamed nor slandered, but tried to highlight the possibility of reversal of the outcome of the war. Although Chiang Kai - Shek was angry that he ＂ did not know the KMT and revolution＂, he had to promise that the Northeast Army maintained independence of military and fiscal policy after the war.
