摘要：Ant-based clustering due to its flexibility, stigmergic and selforganization has been applied in variety areas from problems arising in commerce, to circuit design, and to text-mining, etc. A modified clustering method with fuzzy ants has been presented in this paper. Firstly, fuzzy ants and its behavior are defined; secondly, the new clustering algorithm has been constructed based on fuzzy ants. In this algorithm, we consider multiple ants based on Schockaert’s algorithm. This algorithm can be accelerated by the use of parallel ants, global memory banks and density-based ‘look ahead’ method. Experimental results show that this algorithm is more efficient to other ant clustering methods. ? 2008, Springer New York LLC . All rights reserved.
