摘要：加藤鎌三郎的《北京风俗问答》(1924年),从当下的具体事件出发,用对话体的形式记录了民国初年北京城市建设、城市管理、城市人口、城市结构、居民生活等诸多方面的基本状态和种种变化,是北京历史记忆的有机组成部分,对于理解20世纪初年的北京现代化过程具有一定的参考价值。《北京风俗问答》显示求新向善是当时的主旋律。20世纪的前20余年,是北京在复杂艰难的环境中在这一主旋律下走向现代化的重要阶段。
Jia Tengliansanlang＇ s Dialogue on Beijing＇ s Customs, written in the form of dialogue and published in 1924, records the current events of the basic state and changes of urban construction, urban administration, urban population, urban structure and citizen life of Beijing. It is an integral component of historical memory of the city. The book enjoys a value of reference on understanding the process of modernization of Beijing in the early 20th century. Dialogue on Beijing＇ s Customs shows that seeking goodness is the main theme at that time. The first 20 years of the 20th century is an important period of modernization of Beijing in the complex environment.
