摘要:美国和加拿大都是由移民组成的多元社会国家,在多民族共处的过程中,随着多元文化主义的兴起,直接孕育着多元文化教育的生长。多元文化教育的主旨是把少数民族文化视为两国民族文化富有特色的组成部分,目的是使各民族文化群体不分种族、性别和社会阶层都能得到平等的受教育机会。多元文化教育是两国时代发展的产物,具有很多共性。由于两国历史渊源的不同和现实因素的差异,多元文化教育在理论范型,实践模式上表现出完全不同的特点。不论在美国还是在加拿大,多元文化教育的最终目标都是消除种族歧视,促进多元文化社会的繁荣与发展。
Both American and Canada are the countries with the muhicuhural society composed by immigrants. In the peaceful coexistence of the nations and the rising of the muhicuhuralism, two countries had been pregnant with the Muhicuhural Education. The main idea of the Muhicuhural Education is to regard the culture of the minority groups as components of the national culture with the national characteristic; the main intention of it is that each national cultural, group, no matter which race, gender differences or social, stratus, will have the rights to receive an equal education. The Muhicuhural Education is the result of that time in the development of America and Canada. In America and Canada, the Muhicuhural Education has the different characteristics in theoretical pattern and practice model because of the differences of two countries in historical origin and realistic factor. The final goal of the Muhicuhural Education is to eliminate the racial discrimination and to promote the development of the muhicuhural society.
