摘要:肖家河旧石器地点位于湖北省郧县五峰乡肖家河村,处于汉水右岸第Ⅳ级阶地上,中心地理坐标为北纬32°51’30”,东经110°23’20”。2006~2007年在发掘春秋战国时期的墓葬时发现67件打制石器,肖家河地点的石制品有以下特点:古人们从古河床中选取素材打制石器,火成岩和脉石英是他们最喜欢的岩石;他们使用的加工方法主要是硬锤直接打击法;石器的主要素材是砾石,类型包括砍砸器、手镐和手斧等。肖家河地点石制品的时代可能属于早更新世的偏晚阶段或中更新世早期,相当于旧石器时代早期。
The Xiaojiahe Paleolithic locality, buried in the forth terrace of right bank of the Hanshui River, located at 32°51 '30"E, 110°23'20"N, in the Xiaojiabe village, Wufeng town, Yunxian County, Hubei Province. When the Xiaoiiahe locality was excavated as a tomb of Spring and Autumn period during 2006-2007, 67 artifacts was recovered. The general features of these artifacts present as follows: Early hominids living at the Xiaojiahe locality selected cobbles as raw material from ancient riverbeds. Igneous rock and vein quartz were the predominant raw material used for stone artifacts. The principal flaking technique was direct hammer percussion. Most of stone tools made from cobble blanks and included choppers, chopping-tools, picks and hand-axes. The Xiaojiahe Paleolithic locality was characterized by an industry rich in pebble tools, especially choppers, picks and hand-axes. The industry of the Xiaojiahe Paleolithic locality resembles that of those sites discovered in South China, tor example the Yunxian Man site , which is dated envi- ron Lower Pleistocene.
