摘要：中美关系在奥巴马政府上台第一年呈现出良好发展势头,但在2010年初受到了美国售台武器问题冲击和考验。奥巴马政府坚持对台军售,既是冷战思维的延续,也是稳定和巩固美国在亚太地区霸主地位的一种手段。此外,满足军火商的利益以及迎合美国保守势力的要求、提升美台关系、牵制两岸关系发展等都是奥巴马政府推动对台军售的重要原因。
Since the Obama Administration came into office,China-U.S.relations have kept the momentum of improvement and development.In the early part of 2010,however,the relations took the full impact and stood the test as a result of the U.S.arms sales to Taiwan.The Obama Administration's insistence on selling arms to Taiwan can be seen as continuity of the Cold War mentality,and has been employed as a means for the U.S.to maintain and safeguard its hegemonic position in the Asia-Pacific region as well.In addition,trying to satisfy the needs of the arms merchants and cater to the wishes of the U.S.conservative force,to promote relations with Taiwan,and to keep a check on the development of Cross-Strait relations,are the important reasons behind the Obama's Administration's push for the arms sales to Taiwan.
