摘要:To evaluate the feasibility of the composite of MC block reinforced with Mg-Ca alloy rods for bone reconstruction in dogs. The buccal plates of bilateral mandibular third and fourth premolars were removed to form 5 (width) x5 ( height) x16 (length) mm defect following the healing of the extractions of the third and fourth premolars. All dogs were randomly divided into A, B, C three groups. Group A was implanted with the composites, group B was implanted with mineralized collagen blocks, and group C, blank control group. The bone-repairing ability was separately analyzed by radiological, histological evaluation at 12th week and 24th week postoperatively respectively. For hematological evaluation, Serum Mg2+ concentrate was sampled before the operation day as the baseline, and at 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 12th week, respectively. New bone width of group A and B was wider than group C at 12th week (P < 0.05). However, no difference was found in new bone width and height between group A and B at 12th and 24th week. The composite had similar results in BV/TV (%) with mineralized collagen (p > 0.05). The hematological results indicated the safety of the releasing of Mg2+. This study shows composite is safe, could maintain a large osteogensis space and accelerate new bone formation, but does not seem to achieve the desired effect in repairing the alveolar ridge of the buccal bone defects.
