摘要：In the context of global city, the investigation selected 181 visitors from the inbound tourists in Beijing's urban core area, who came from 14 global cities, and try to appraise the leisure tourism in Beijing by their usual percipience, distinguishing ability and evaluation criteria of global cities. The survey shows that leisure tourism barriers in Beijing urban core area mainly due to language, asking for directions and etiquette barriers which are all brought by cultural differences, and this is the international requirements to Beijing from global cities' tourists. However, the great cultural differences between Eastern and Western usually be looked as an important attraction of Beijing as leisure tourism destination. Therefore, during the process of Beijing' global city constructing, especially in the core area of the urban leisure tourism, it should highlight and protect Chinese traditional culture, and strengthen its attractability, while emphasizing the concept of in-ternationalization and multiculturalism, and fulfil in the constructing of international language environment, signs environment and etiquette environment.
