摘要：劳伦斯是英国文学史乃至世界文学史上最有争议的作家之一。劳伦斯的两极关系理论,虽然在现实操作上有一定的悖反和局限,但它代表着劳伦斯对于人类精神生态超前的探索。以劳伦斯的最后一篇小说《查泰莱夫人的情人》为范本,通过文本细读发现,小说中所有的人物在自然生态遭到极大破坏后,人的自然本性逐渐消失和萎缩,呈现出不同程度的精神异化。把劳伦斯的男女两性关系放到生态视界中解读,不仅符合劳伦斯人与自然不可分割的一贯主题,更能接近其自然生态思想和精神生态思想的本真。
This paper takes Lady Chatterley＇s Lover as a text sample to explore Lawrence＇s Polar theory in ecological perspective. Lawrentian balanced relationship between man and woman, a little divorced from reality and having its limitations though, reflects Lawrence＇s enlightening exploration in spiritual ecology. By putting his Polar theory in an ecological environment, this paper intends to justify Lawrence of his phallic pride ,which has been criticized by feminists.
