摘要：仇为之先生是新中国经济地理学科的奠基人之一,著名的经济地理学家和人口学家。新中国成立之初,仇为之参与中国人民大学经济地理专业的创建,1955年调入北京大学工作,承担起创建北京大学经济地理专业的历史使命。仇为之先生在北京大学兢兢业业工作30多年,全身心地投入到经济地理学科建设和教学科研工作,对经济地理学专业的发展方向、学科建设、师资队伍建设和人才培养等作出了卓越的贡献。仇为之先生为人低调,一心为公,乐于助人,德高望重,是一位值得尊敬的长者。文章回顾了仇为之先生的生平和爱国热忱,他在新中国经济地理学科专业创建方面的卓越贡献和经济地理学科治学思想,一生公而忘私和不计个人得失的高贵品德,以此缅怀这位学界先贤。
Mr.Qiu Weizhi was one of the founders of economic geography after the founding of the people's Republic of China,a famous economic geographer and demographer.At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China,Qiu Weizhi participated in the establishment of the economic geography specialty of Renmin University of China.In 1955,Qiu Weizhi was transferred to Peking University to undertake the historical mission of establishing the major of economic geography.Mr.Qiu Weizhi has worked diligently in Peking University for more than 30 years,devoted himself to the discipline construction,teaching and scientific research of economic geography,and made outstanding contributions to the development in development direction,discipline construction,faculty construction and talent training of economic geography.Mr.Qiu Weizhi is a low-key man,dedicated to the public,willing to help others,and highly respected.He is a respectable elder.This paper reviews Mr.Qiu Weizhi's life and patriotic enthusiasm,his outstanding contribution to the establishment of the economic geography discipline,his academic thought of the economic geography discipline,and his noble character of selflessness and disregard of personal gains and losses in his life,so as to cherish the memory of this academic sage.
