摘要:This preliminary study aimed at exploring human physiological thermal responses and its effects on the off schedule of air conditioning. 20 field surveys about human thermal responses to actual air conditioning environment were conducted for 11 student volunteers. Skin temperatures of the six body parts as sole, neck, chest, hand, forearm and thigh were measured every minute; and thermal sensations were recorded every 5 minutes. The survey lasted until the student felt dissatisfied with the air conditioning environment and would like to turn off air conditioner each time. It was found that only foot among the six body parts cooled down significantly, and that thermal sensation presented 'step-down' trends with sole temperature. Moreover, statistical results demonstrated the great impacts of sole temperature on TSV and air conditioning acceptance levels. Accordingly, Sole temperature can be regarded as a key driver to turn off the air conditioners. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
