摘要：Based on a questionnaire survey responded by nearly 11000 people in Beijing, from a perspective of livable city, the general characteristics and the spatial autocorrelation of the Livable City Safety Satisfaction Degree Index (LCSSDI) were analyzed. The overall evaluation of LCSSDI in Beijing is 63.8, indicating that more great efforts should be paid to improve the safety level in construction of the livable Beijing. The spatial distribution of the LCSSDI shows a decreasing trend from urban centre to the suburbs, and the north-south differences of Beijing urban development still behave obviously. Further, the spatial structure of LCSSDI shows a "hot banding" distribution pattern, accompanying with some "cool spots", isolated islands distribution. To get a better understanding of the spatial pattern of the LCSSDI, we used the Moran's I and LISA to measure the spatial autocorrelation. The results illustrate that the public evaluation on the LCSSDI is spatial dependent and has tendency toward clustering. The cluster of areas with high-high association is located in the central of Beijing near Chang'an Avenue., highlighting and reshaping the "hot banding", while the cluster of areas with low-low association is located in the east suburbs outside of the 4(th) ring road. The phenomenon is mainly due to the city's unique natural geographical characteristics and long-term accumulation of historical development.
