摘要：@@ 1 Introduction Since June 2007, the national CET4 has made some changes, the most distinguishing change being its listening comprehension accounting from 20％ previously to 35％, with more subjective items like spot dictation and compound dictation. Moreover, from December 2008, the subversive Internet-based CET4 has pioneered in some 50 universities across China, aiming that 70％ of its test items are conducted through listening comprehension, especially the writing part. Without a good listening competence, candidates can't do the commenting, or even the summary of the essay they hear.
