摘要：介绍了目前国外旅游社会学的研究分四个部分：一、旅游者，其动机与类型；二、旅游者与当地人的关系，从双方的相互作用、认识和态度三方面进行评述；三、旅游系统的发展与结构，介绍了一种旅游发展的模式；四、旅游的影响，分两个方面：旅游的社会经济影响与旅游的社会文化影响。
It is a bird eye view of international research on the sociology of tourism ,which is divided into four parts: 1.Tourists, their motivations and typology; 2.The tourist local relationships; it has been analyzed in three principal dimensions: people's interactions, perceptions and attitudes; 3. The development and structure of the tourist system, a general model of the development of tourism is introduced; 4. The impacts of tourism, which consists of the socioeconomic and sociocultural effects of tourism.
