摘要：一种文化传统揭示着对应的生存方式与历史发展。通过人们的生活与生产、社会交往与风俗习惯,民间文化得以展现,传统首饰手工艺也是如此。中国传统民俗观念认为,金、银、铜、铁等金属制品都有一定的禳灾辟邪作用,因此,汉族及一些少数民族都有给小儿戴金属锁的习俗,亦称"长命缕"或"百索";过本命大寿时,也常以黄金饰品压身以求镇邪。一些首饰还常被用于指事或为特殊的标记。这些或隐喻或暗示的装饰习俗既是功能的延展,也是民俗文化意识的反映。在这些文化传统中,以婚嫁为代表的传统习俗对首饰手工业的需求最为旺盛,也直接影响了首饰手工业的发展与沿袭。
A cultural tradition reveals way of life and the historical development, which presented by people＇ s lives, work, social interactions, custom and folk culture. So does traditional jewelry crafts. In Chinese traditional folk belief, gold, silver, copper, iron and other metal products have a certain role of warding off evil. Therefore the Han and some other ethnic minorities have their children wear metal lock, also known as ＂Long-life Lock＂. On the birthday or anniversaries, people also wear gold decorations for the purpose of getting rid of evil. Some of the jewel- ry is also often used to indicate special mark. The metaphor or implied decorative custom is a kind of functional ex- tension of the jewelry, on the other hand, it reflects folk culture consciousness. Among all the demand for the jew- elry, the marriage custom impact the jewelry handcraft significantly, whieh is the best annotation of the best value and significance of the traditional jewelry in Chinese families.
