摘要：英语中的矛盾修饰法作为一种独特的修辞法,以其表面矛盾、内涵丰富的艺术魅力表现了强烈的语言效果与感染力,揭示了辩证的矛盾统一。从语义结构、修辞功能和翻译方法等方面来分析矛盾修饰法,可增强原著鉴赏能力,提高翻译水平。
Oxymoron, as a peculiar figure of speech, reflects the unique artistic charm and strong attraction of the works with seemly contradictory meaning. This paper attempts to explore its characteristics peculiar to oxymoron from the following three aspects, meaning structure, rhetorical functions, and translating methods with the aim of improving the ability of appreciation and translation
