摘要："Popularity" means that in recent years the folk art has evolved into a type of art that receives much public attention from a art type little known by the public. "Marginality" means that the research on the folk art still remains a marginal position in the art research circle. This phenomenon of the popularity of folk art works and the marginality of folk art research reflects and reveals the unbalanced state and the predicament of the development of folk arts. This paper presents an in-depth analysis and examination of the roots of this phenomenon by taking the current situation of the research on Beijing folk art as a case.
