摘要：北京由于地处与华北平原、东北平原和内蒙古高原三大地区相通的特殊地带 ,历史上一直是中原农耕民族与北方游牧狩猎民族文化交流融合的一个枢纽地区。新石器时代 ,中原与北方民族文化就在这里有了初步交汇。随着历史的演进 ,中原与北方民族文化不断在这里进行交流与融合。从战国时起 ,就有多民族在这里进行贸易。魏晋以后 ,大量少数民族在这里定居 ,与汉族杂处。北京上升为全国政治中心之后 ,更加成为多民族文化交融和全国及中外经济文化交流的中心。兼容并蓄、博大精深、堪为中华民族文化之典范的文化资源和人才汇集的智力资源 ,是北京最为珍贵的资源优势 ,是完成其全国文化中心、政治中心、国际交往中心以及知识经济中心等职能的重要基础和保证。
Because of its special location, which is on the northern end of the north Chinese Plain and links the Inner Mongolian Plateau as well as the Northeast China through the Yanshan Mountain,in history Beijing had been being a center of cultural contact and mixture between the agricultural Han nationality in the Central Plains and the nomadic nationalities beyong the Great Wall (called the North nationalities). The cultural contact began from the New Stone Age. Before the Shang dynasty, comparatively more impact on the culture of modern Beijing was from the north. Then, many nomadic and hunting nationalities, such as Shanrong, Donghu, Xiongnu, Wuhuan, Xianbei, Xi, Rouran, Jie, Tujue,Qidan, Nuzhen, Monggol, and Manchu, live on the north of Beijing area,even came to modern Beijing one after another to live together with the Han natlonality, and mixed their cultures with the latter. Especially during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties when Beijing had been the political and cultural center of the whole unitary multi national country of China, it was the hub of cultural mixture not only between Han and the North nationalities, but also between the North China and the South China, as well as between China and Foreign Countries.Beijing's cultural resources,which are mixed,comprehensive and profound,are the epitome and paragon of the Chinese nation's culture and its best prectious resources.So they are the important base and advantage for undertaking the functions of nationally cultural,political,international exchange,and knowledge economic centers.
