摘要：本文以国外中国研究为例,探讨比较的方法在社会科学的运用。方法论是现代科学的产物,为了排除研究者的偏见,必须发展出一套研究方法。但是社会科学学者在追求方法的同时,非但不能排除偏好,反而增强了某些特殊偏见,这需要对社会科学研究的方法论本身进行检视。国外中国研究是世界了解中国的重要窗口,比较的方法是国外中国研究较多运用的一种方法,依据研究策略,比较的方法分为陈述主义、功能主义和普遍主义三种策略。国外中国研究反映了研究者自身的比较立场,运用比较研究的方法研究中国问题,要求研究者客观设定"比较对象",在哪些意义上阐释和呈现中国发展道路的特性和普遍性。深入分析国外中国研究的比较方法,能够增强方法论的自觉性,开拓研究视野,吸收国外中国研究的新成果、新方法、新材料,研判国外对华政策的判断逻辑。
This paper discusses the application of comparative methods in social sciences by taking foreign studies in China as an example. Methodology is the product of modern science. In order to eliminate researchers’ prejudice, we must develop a set of research methods. However, while pursuing methods, social scientists cannot eliminate preference, but enhance some special biases, which need to examine the methodology of social science research itself. The method of comparison is one that is widely used in foreign and Chinese researches. According to the research strategies, the method of comparison can be divided into three strategies: statementalism, functionalism and universalism. Foreign studies on China reflect the comparative position of researchers themselves, and use comparative research methods to study Chinese issues, requiring researchers to objectively set "comparative objects" and interpret and present the characteristics and universality of China’s development path in what sense. An in-depth analysis of the comparative methods of foreign Chinese studies can enhance the awareness of methodology, broaden the research horizon, absorb the new results, new methods and new materials of foreign Chinese studies, and study and judge the logic of China policies.
